Content: Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Co., Ltd. (GWS) is a large shipbuilding, ship-repairing and heavy industry enterprise in the south China, capable of repairing more than 140 ships ranging under 200,000 DWT and building 8 ships of 25,000 DWT annually. GWS is specialized in new building of full container ship series, dredger series, oil product tanker and multi-purpose cargo ship. The main heavy industry products include: harbor facility, all kinds of cranes, steel structure of bridge & high building, aluminum/brass molded extruder, etc. During the visit, GWS representatives will brief the operation process and guide the participants to tour around the factory. Participants can learn more about the Company’s Operation Process and its safety culture.
Remarks: 1) Meet at Guangzhou East Railway Station- outside Fairwood Fastfood Restaurant (Shop No. AG-23), Ground Floor Lobby of Railway Station at 8:30am to 9:00am (9:00am Coach departure). 2) Once your online registration is confirmed (not with a waiting list number), you are requested to deposit a payment of HK$60 to the bank account of IOSH (HK) Ltd. (Heng Sang Bank Account: 222-048480-001), and submit the copy of your transfer slip to IOSH (HK) by email at iosh.org@polyu.edu.hk or by fax at 2334 4634 within 24 hours. Otherwise, your position will be dropped and your place will be filled by the waiting list. 3) This visit will be covered by an insurance policy (medical expenses HK$ 250,000 max. per person) held by the IOSH (Hong Kong). Members should assess the risk and purchase their own insurance policy to cover the activity. 4) All participants should wear safety shoes/boots during the visit.
