|Content:||HKAA is the pioneer on application of the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for handling an average of 110,000 numbers of luggage daily. A total of HK$50 million has been initially invested for the set up of RFID system. The baggage handling system of HKAA is ranked as the most sophisticated system in the air flight industry. This technical visit will include a briefing of RFID system and visit to the Integrated Airport Centre in which its functions cover 6 individual airport functional centers plus the Airport Emergency Centre. Representatives of HKAA will introduce the aspects on aircraft safety and occupational safety and health for workers there.|
|Remarks:||This technical visit is not covered by insurance policy held by IOSH (HK). Participated members may consider arrange their own insurance coverage for the visit if necessary. If tropical cyclone warning signal No. 3 or above/ rainstorm Red or Black warning is stilling hoisting at 8:00am on the date of visit, the visit will be cancelled.|
