Speaker: Mr. NG Wing Hong has over 20 years of experience in the safety of onshore and afloat lifting appliances. He is currently a Shipping Safety Officer serving at the Marine Industrial Safety Section of the Marine Department. He holds a DoT Class 1 Engineer (Combined) Cert. of Competence, a MBA, and a MAppSc(SM). His professional qualifications include MIMarEST, MASME and CMIOSH.

CPD: CPD Certificate of 1.5 hours will be issued to participants upon completion of the seminar.
Content: In the seminar, the Speaker will mainly discuss engineering safety aspects of derrick system on dumb steel barges., including: • types of afloat crane • derrick system • accidents caused by equipment failures • the operators • relevant laws and regulations • related research studies on derrick
Remarks: No CPD certificate will be issued to those who arrived at after 7:15pm. CPD Certificate (without chop) will be distributed to IOSH members during registration. IOSH Branch helpers will stamp participants’ CPD certificates after the seminar. CPD certificate is invalid without the chop.
