Speaker: Mr. C Y Yeung is the Safety and Environment Manager of Paul Y. Management Ltd. Mr. Yeung possesses over 23 years of experience in management of construction safety. He is a part-time lecturer of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Member of the Safety Officer Advisory Committee of the Labour Department, HKSAR. Mr. Yeung currently is the Vice-president of the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Association (HKOSHA)

Content: The speaker would like to share with us his experience in construction safety and human reliability through in-depth analysis of a number of construction incidents and near-misses that were attributed by human errors. The presentation will highlight relevant key factors, like operational contexts, worker expectations, training, human-system interfaces, worker resource management and generic human-error mechanisms. Through the seminar, we could be able to have a better understanding on human-system interaction and its attribution to the industrial incident and near-miss, and that to identify ways and resources for prevention.
