Content: Tree Climbing by manual labour is an alternate option for access onto trees when deployment of conventional aerial elevated platforms and other lifting equipment become impracticable for example inaccessibility of mobile / lifting equipment Tree Climbing involves safe access and safe working at height with the use of special PPE, equipment & techniques to ensure personnel safety. Fatal accident and serious personnel injuries happened in the past when untrained personnel volunteered themselves in performing Tree Climbing. This workshop will focus on the selection and use of proper PPE, equipment & basic techniques that are required for safe Tree Climbing. The concept of “ISA Certified Tree Workers” will also be discussed in the seminar as an option of a new industry standard for accrediting trained Tree Climbers.
Remarks: 5 parking space will be reserved at first-come-first served basis. This technical visit is covered by insurance policy at nominal protection held by IOSH (HK). Participating members may opt for addition insurance protection at their own cost whenever necessary. 2. Participants should wear camise clothes and comfortable sport wear for this visit. 3. If tropical cyclone warning signal No. 1 or above/ rainstorm Amber warning is stilling hoisting at 12:00pm on the date of visit, the visit will be cancelled.
