Content: Construction site workers in Hong Kong form an ageing population and they are exposed to a series of health as well as safety issues. A recent survey investigated the health and well-being of construction workers and some shocking results in terms of the BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels were revealed. In addition, the workers drinking habits and work life balance issues were also investigated. This presentation will explain some of the results from this survey, which took place across all MTRC sites during the month of May, 2013 and will present some preliminary issues which the industry needs to address.
