Content: In this half day seminar, four distinguished and experienced speakers from different sectors have been invited to share their valuable experience in occupational and environmental hygiene. Mr Tsin Tai-wa will share the knowledge and experience about the practicability of precautionary measures for the prevention of heat stroke and the related health effects. Mr S K Lam will share with audiences about development of safety standard of chemical exposure. Ms Christine S M Chiu will share the experience on conducting IAQ assessment according to the objectives of the twelve parameters adopted by the voluntary IAQ Certification Scheme launched by the HKSAR Government. Dr Henriette Shen will introduce the key components of a health emergency preparedness and response plan to deal with public health events which may have negative impacts on the business and share good corporate hygiene practices. After all the presentations, there will be a 'Q & A' session.
Remarks: (1) It is advisable that in order to prevent the spreading of influenza, the participant who has symptom(s) of flu, e.g. fever, cough and runny nose, etc, should not attend the seminar, or should put on a face mask throughout his / her stay at the seminar.
