Speaker: Mr. LAW Chun-kuen - He has graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology with a Master of Science in Power System Analysis and Control. He has also received a two-year graduate training at A. Reyrolle & Co. Ltd., UK, and worked with a local power company in various posts for over 30 years.

Content: Electricity is a familiar and necessary part of everyday life, but electricity can kill or severely injure people and cause damage to property. Injuries or deaths arising from the use of electricity and electrical appliances at work are not uncommon in Hong Kong. In his talk, the speaker will share with the participants some of his personal experiences in the planning of electric power systems including safety and security aspects.
