Content: A wealth of evidence from research and case studies shows that employees’ well-being is not only linked with financial benefits but also employee engagement of organisations. An effective corporate wellness programme can help save medical costs and insurance premiums. It also contributes to an engaged workforce because they feel safe, valued and part of the supportive work community. All these are of paramount importance of productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of organisations. This seminar aims to share with you a ‘Healthy Workplace Model’ advocated by the World Health Organisation. The model includes four key areas, namely the psychosocial work environment, the physical work environment, personal health resources in the workplace and involvement in the community, coupled with a continual improvement process. It aims to assist organisations to develop a holistic approach in which all stakeholders work together for the common goal of a happy, healthy, satisfied and engaged workforce. Some successful cases are also shared in the seminar.
Remarks: You are required to bring your membership cards (for IOSH members) or student/staff cards (for PolyU students/staff) and produce them at the registration counter.
