Content: Qigong is an aspect of traditional Chinese medicine that involves coordinating breathing patterns with physical postures to maintain health and well-being. Yi Jin Stick Exercise is a particular qigong exercise that focuses on turning and flexing the spine and limbs. Based on the ten traditional routines of Yi Jin stick, the exercises feature soft, extended, even movements that invigorate the limbs and internal organs. In particular, practice of the Yi Jin Stick exercises improves flexibility of the tendons in our arms and hands, body balance and muscular strength and has a beneficial effect on the respiratory system. The speaker will point out common mistakes and offer advice on how to correct these. This exercise is simple to learn and beneficial to maintain health and well-being. It can be used in morning exercise in the safety briefing session in construction industry.
Remarks: To prevent the spreading of influenza, any participant who has symptom(s) of flu, e.g. fever, cough and runny nose, etc, is not recommended to attend the seminar, or is advised to put on a face mask throughout his / her stay at the seminar.
