Content: The existing Registered Safety Officer (RSO) system has been implemented since 1986. The Hong Kong Federation of Occupational Safety and Health Association is proposing to the Labour Department a change to the existing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) arrangement for RSO, including a mandate to require the RSO to attend a percentage of compulsory training courses within one CPD cycle. The course content and training fee are uncertain. In the Forum, the Speaker will introduce the proposed change to the CPD arrangement. In addition, we would like to collect the views and feedback from the participants on the possible change to the CPD Programme.
Remarks: Non-IOSH members are required to input the short form of their own organisations and membership/student numbers (e.g. HKES 1234) (for other institutions/students), or HKID number (e.g. A 1234) (for general public) in the “membership number” field during on-line registration.
