Discussion forums moderating team – moderator
More information
Forum postings are only moderated once they
are posted on the forums so it's the role of the moderating team to
ensure the integrity and standards of this service are maintained
by checking that users are following the forum acceptable use
guidelines.
Moderating is a team activity and any
moderating action is carried out once the team have talked about
the issue. Our forums promote health and safety practitioners on a
worldwide stage, so every moderator decision and the way it's
implemented is important. One of the Moderating team will
implement the team’s decision and email the user to tell them about
the moderation. IOSH staff sometimes help with this.
Moderators are Chartered Members or
Chartered Fellows of IOSH and, after successful training, are
approved for their role by the Online Development
Manager.
