Stakeholders
Our aim is to actively and regularly engage
with all our stakeholders, both internal and external. We want to
make sure that we're meeting needs, building strong learning
relationships and positively influencing health and safety
attitudes and behaviours.
Stakeholder groups
As well as IOSH members, we've had success working with a
variety of other stakeholder groups, including business leaders,
government, and the media.
Highlights
We've worked with researchers to create our OSH research database - the
only research database of its kind in the UK. This free database
offers a focused, dedicated resource to help you with your work,
study and professional development. As well as research, the
database can help you find experts to work on other projects or as
speakers or trainers.
Our work with the British government has led
to the creation of free health and safety awareness resources for
teaching young people, as well as the development of a new training
course for health and safety practitioners, helping them play a
more active role in the protection and promotion of workplace
health.

Communicating with stakeholders
Consultation and information-sharing are really important to our
work with stakeholders. From providing a place to network on our
discussion forums, to our free guides and tools, we communicate
with stakeholders in lots of different ways to reach as many people
as possible.

Standards Institute, on health and safety projects.

International Labour Organization (ILO) and others on
updating the ILO encyclopaedia of occupational health and
safety.
