Welcome
Welcome to the IOSH webpages for the Chiltern Branch.
Autumn 2011 update – IOSH Chiltern Branch
CHANGES TO THE PROGRAMME
Unfortunately, we have had to make a few changes to
our original programme - please note as follows:
October
We're cancelling the morning session of our October meeting
owing to speaker availability. Please accept our sincerest
apologies. All payments for this event will be refunded. The
afternoon session starting at 14:00 will go ahead as
planned with a presentation provided by John Stevens.
November
Due to speaker availability , our November programme will
now cover Mental Health and the Workplace. Nigel Pike who is a
Registered Mental Nurse, Safety Practitioner and IOSH Chiltern
Branch Committee Member will provide us with an insight into how
we, as safety professionals, can help businesses tackle
mental health issues.
In addition to this, at our November meeting we have
invited Jeoff Colls from Dacorum Borough Council to come along and
speak to the membership about how we as a branch can support local
charities. The aim of this , is to provide a "stepping stone"
towards our May event.
In the May meeting our aim is to support our
local community as part of our outgoing Presidents campaign to get
involved in local projects so get your volunteering hat on!
January
January 2012 will see our ever popular
Construction Seminar. Due to its popularity we have been been
overwhelmed by offers of speakers , with that in mind - we are
still finalising the programme – We are hoping to provide
further details at our 20th October event and of course will be
publishing details on the Chiltern Branch website soon after.
The remainder of our planned programme is as
follows:
- 16th Feb 12 Behavioural Safety Presentation Sarah Cudmore
- 15th Mar 12 CPD/IPD Development Day Amanda Curtis
- 19th Apr 12 AGM
- 17th May 12 Branch Charity Event
I encourage you to come along to the meetings. Our guest
speakers are all experts in their area of specialisation and are
keen to share their knowledge. The meetings give you the
opportunity to network and collect CPD points.
Please keep watching the web pages and connect for more
details.
Finally, enjoy the change of season and I look forward
to meeting you at one of our branch meetings.
Yours truly,
Peter
