2010 Event List
Overview
Welcome to the start of a new branch meeting season. As a group
we have chosen the theme of ‘Learning and Working Together’. Our
theme reflects our aim of providing a programme which supports our
members professional development, whilst fostering the opportunity
for networking and providing support for one another.
Whilst we continue to meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month we
have changed the programme timings to try to encourage more of our
800+ membership to attend our sessions.
Our first meeting is on 16th September starting at 2pm. We are
delighted that Dr Karen McDonnell, IOSH Vice President, has agreed
to visit and present to us as a branch. You may be aware that the
Presidential theme for this year is ‘Health and Safety Heroes’. At
this meeting I will feedback to you the findings of the branch
survey we have conducted and the action we will take as a result of
your comments.
In November we will run a Stress awareness session. The CPD
session will commence at 3pm and end at 5pm. A further stress
awareness presentation commences at 6pm and builds on the
afternoons session. The meeting will end at about 8.30pm.
Ray Jeffery has arranged a visit to the new Olympic Site in
December. Space is strictly limited to 30 people. For more details
on this and our other activities please have a look at the rest of
our programme on our Chiltern Branch website. Details of our
activities are also available via Connect.
I encourage you to get involved in the Chiltern Branch
activities and I look forward to meeting you at one of our branch
meetings. If you would like to know more about your committee
please contact me.
Yours truly,
Peter
