Getting safety onto the board agenda
Overview
This session has been developed to assist safety practitioners
in putting health & safety onto their board's agendas.
The session will be structured to learn a little about:
• Effective Communication
• IoD Questionnaire
• Obtaining / Influencing the Board
The event will be held at Writtle College, Chelmsford on 9th
February 2011 from 2pm until 4 pm, where a light lunch will be
provided from 1pm onwards.

Speakers
Nigel Heaton
Nigel has worked in the area of risk management for more than 25
years. He works with Boards in UK and International
organizations helping them to understand risk and deploy resources
appropriately. He acts as an expert witness for both
claimants and defendants in both civil and criminal cases.
Nigel has co-designed and presents many of the IOSH CPD
courses.
