OSH Technical Visit_Fire rescue operations
Overview
The Hong Kong branch are pleased to invite you to the
Occupational Safety and Health Technical Visit “Rescue Operations
of the Fire Services Department” event on 25 September at
11:00.
This technical visit will cover the rescue and fire fighting
operations, its routine training and teamwork spirit of the Fire
Services Department in Hong Kong. It will work through a
demonstration and a presentation made by fire service officers.
Please note that this event is only open to IOSH
members and participants number is restricted to 40.
Admission is FREE but on a first-come-first-served basis and
seat reservation is REQUIRED. Please register
online if you wish to take part.

What's in it for me
Participants will gain a better understanding of the speedy
response of the Department to various emergency scenarios,
including those related to occupational safety and health. In
addition, they will gather detailed information
on essential equipment for fire fighting and rescue
operations, such as fire engines, fire fighting equipment, special
tools and personal protective equipment.
The visit also provides an effective arena for
networking and in-depth learning on emergency handling
and fire risk mitigation. You will be able to ask any questions
to seasoned fire service officers in areas with common
interests.
Other relevant details
Language: Cantonese
CDP: CPD Certificate of 1.5 hours will be issued to participants
upon completion of the visit.
Remarks:
- This technical visit is not covered by insurance policy held by
IOSH (HK). Participants may consider arranging their own insurance
coverage for the visit if necessary.
- If tropical cyclone warning signal No. 3 or above/ rainstorm
Red or Black warning is stilling hoisting at 9:00am on the date of
visit, the visit will be cancelled.
