Young Enterprise Awards

IOSH has been involved in working with Young Enterprise for the last three years.

They award a health and safety prize to the team of young people who take best account of health and safety in the report they produce about their company.  One volunteer from each local branch is needed to judge the reports, attend the event and decide who wins the health and safety prize.  You will be required to make a decision before the event and some criteria for the judgement will be provided. At the event there will be an opportunity to meet the teams, who will take part in a small exhibition.  You may be involved in some final judging and are required to say a few words about IOSH as well. The trophy is provided by Young Enterprise.

There are six events.  These are as follows:

Nottinghamshire Country Final - Wednesday 5 May at Buildings 7 & 8, The Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham, NG8 1BB.  Timings:  17.30 – 20:45 with a buffet meal at 19:30. Reports for this event will be available to judge w/c 26 April.
 

Leicestershire County Final – Thursday 6 May at Legends, Tigers Rugby Club, Aylestone Road, Leicester, LE2 7TR. Timings:  17:30 – 20:45 with a buffet meal at 19:15.  Reports for this event will be available to judge w/c 26 April.
 

Northamptonshire County Final – Monday 10 May at The Guildhall, Giles Square, Northampton, NN1 1DE. Timings: 18:00 – 20:45 with a buffet meal at 19:00.  Reports for this event will be available to judge w/c 26 April.
 

Lincolnshire & Rutland County Final – Wednesday 12 May.  Venue not yet known. Timings:  18:00 – 21:00 with a buffet meal at 19:30.  Reports for this event will be available to judge w/c 26 April.
 

Derbyshire County Final – Wednesday 12 May at Alfreton Hall, Alfreton, Derbyshire.  Timings 17:30 – 20:45, with a buffet meal at 20:00.  Reports will be available to judge w/c 26 April.
 

East Midlands Regional Final – Monday 14 June at the East Midlands Conference Centre, University of Nottingham, University Park Nottingham, NG7 2RJ starting at 17:45 with a drinks reception.  There is a three course dinner at 19:15.  Awards are presented from 21:00 and the event finishes at 22:00.  Reports will be available to judge w/c 31 May.
