Online CPD user seminars and the reconstruction of the Mid and
West Ireland District
Hazel Harvey, IOSH Professional Affairs Director, presented two
online CPD user seminars at the end of February in Ennis and Sligo.
These seminars were for IOSH members who need help with how to
start or maintain their online CPD portfolio. The seminars also
covered the structure of MyIOSH and the CPD database and the
process of entering information into your MyCPD record.
Following on from the CPD user seminars, Sascha Lemon, IOSH
International Manager, attended the first general meeting of two
new districts. Due to the geography of the Mid and West Ireland
region, it was agreed that the district should be split to help
more members take part in activities. The Mid and West District is
now the Western District covering Counties
Clare, Galway, Laois, Limerick and Offaly, and the North Western
Disctrict, covering Counties Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Longford,
Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon, Sligo and Westmeath.
Both the CPD user seminar and general meetings were well
attended. Attendees were also given the opportunity to fill interim
officer positions.
Members of the new districts will still be able to attend events
at other districts of the Ireland Branch.
