What we do
The Southern District of IOSH Ireland Branch was established in
1995 and our purpose is to provide a forum in the Southern region
of Ireland (Cork and Kerry) for professionals working in all
areas of health and safety and risk management to network and
share ideas.
Our aims
We have a membership of over 300 which we aim to
increase through networking. We host many enjoyable events, both
evening and half-day, for our members throughout the year. We also
run a number of site visits to different projects in the greater
area for the benefit of our members. We hold a conference every
year in November, which has proved to be a great success.
We aim to provide our members with a forum for networking
and information gathering to enhance their knowledge in all areas
of occupational safety and health. We hope to further develop this
strong and vibrant district by continuing to serve our members'
needs
For members who require chartered status and would like to get
started we provide experienced Mentors.
Committee meetings
We hold six committee meetings every year and are kept up to
date by the Secretary via email.
