What we do
The Healthcare Specialist Section was established in 2002 to
provide a forum for health and safety professionals in
the healthcare sector in Ireland to network and share
ideas.
Our aims
- Develop appropriate links and relationships with government,
regulatory bodies and other relevant organisations
- Seek a requirement for Chartered status for all new
health and safety and non-clinical risk manager positions in the
HSE – we're currently discussing this with the HSE's HR
department
- Develop IOSH representation on the newly formed HSE Health
and Safety Advisory Group
- Establish a subgroup (networking team) of safety practitioners
for the intellectual and physical disability sector who will report
to the section committee.
