Human factors and human reliability workshop
Overview
North Cumbria District is happy to announce this event.
The term ‘human error’ almost invariably arises when considering
high
consequence incidents and accidents.
This interactive workshop draws on latest guidance from the Health
and Safety Executive along with the presenter's experience in
working to improve human reliability and reduce human error.
The negative perspective that is often associated with ‘human
error’ is
challenged and we are asked to think of them as every-day
occurrences that we need to accept happen, and manage
accordingly.
The workshop will asks us to start thinking about why we behave
in the way we do, and therefore why we make the mistakes that we
do.
Only when we start thinking along these lines can we start to
improve reliability and reduce the consequences associated with
human errors.
