Branch plan
Introduction
Over the past few years we have seen a
great deal of change both within the Institution and the work
place. Branches need to run effectively within the byelaws of the
Institution and consider how they can support the Institution’s
aims and objectives.
Branches need to be supporting members and this is likely
to become more important as the new routes to membership bed in and
assistance with CPD and preparing for the peer review interview is
needed.
The Branch Plan has been put together to ensure that the Branch
is fully prepared to meet the expectations and needs of members.
The content of the plan covers three key areas:
- Branch meetings
- raising profile & influencing
- communication
Branch Meetings
1. Increase the number of people attending branch meetings
by:
- Targeting members who do not attend meetings.
- encouraging members to bring visitors/guests along to
meetings
Sponsor: Don Gilfoyle. Don to make contact with members who never
attend meetings and encourage them to attend.
Raising Profile and Influencing

& health articles in the local media by:

channels to challenge such articles.

quarterly basis.

publishing

the main IOSH IT platform.
