Welcome
The South Coast Branch has over 1,100 members representing all
grades of membership from Affiliates to Fellows.
The branch committee and I aim to make branch meetings a focus
for keeping up to date with developments in IOSH, and to give
members an opportunity to communicate socially and professionally
on current health and safety topics. We support the
Institution in promoting improvements in occupational safety and
health.
IOSH is the voice of safety professionals around the world and
as such it's important to maintain its recognition
by supporting and mentoring our fellow members by offering
professional and technical guidance.
It's up to us to influence and guide employers to continual
improvement and best practice in managing safety in a sensible and
responsible way.
These webpages are designed to keep our members up to date with
what's happening locally, complementing the rest of IOSH's
website.
The branch is well established and the members who regularly
attend our meetings have a wide range of knowledge and
expertise. We encourage our members to attend and participate in
our meetings, sharing any safety and health news and experience. If
you have a question or problem, the chances are that another member
can help you.
Finally, the branch is managed by the committee for you, the
members. If you have any suggestions for improvement please speak
to me or a committee member. We hope you enjoy the meetings and we
look forward to seeing you in the future.
