Career development
The branch will financially support branch
members undertaking further training, whether for Continuing
Professional Development, Initial Professional Development, or
personal development providing that branch funds are available.
Where branch members are required to meet the costs of this
training from their own pockets and aren't fully supported by their
employer, the branch will contribute either 50 per cent of the
training fees paid by the branch member or £375, whichever is
the lower.
The branch member will be required to outline the learning
outcomes of the training in the form of a formal briefing at a
branch meeting.
All requests for assistance must be made before the
training starts, as approval is not always guaranteed.
Evidence of costs must be provided, including details of the
training or course. Using the criteria noted above, the
Branch Secretary can give approval provided adequate funds are
available. Any doubts on either criteria or funding should be
referred to the Chair. We can't make payments without
supporting invoices and receipts.
Branch members may take advantage of this assistance only once
in any financial year.
