Construction

The South Downs Construction Section is the largest of the branch's sections, with around 150 members from a diverse background of companies and consultants, and covering all ranges of experience. We all have one common interest and that is to listen, learn and talk about best practice in the construction industry. We also like to have a little fun, so expect to meet people who are willing to share their experiences and understand yours.

We also welcome new members who share our passion. If we don't meet your expectations, tell us and help us to provide a meeting that the membership deserves. The branch officials play a significant role in sourcing a variety of guest speakers to stimulate your interest. Currently we're planning to present to the membership a menu of subjects for the months ahead. We believe in consultation with everyone to get the right mix of interest. It's not just about putting a tick in the CPD points box, although they're handy; it's also about continual learning in a relaxed environment - and, yes, we do focus on the environment, in which so many of us have professional interests.

We always start our meetings sharing sandwiches, drinking tea or coffee and having a chat. So you're welcome to join us frequently or infrequently - it doesn't matter. What matters is your interest and your experiences - hopefully you can share them with us.
