Welcome
Welcome to the website of the South West
Branch. I would like to thank the committee members for their hard
work and dedication to the branch. They all work in very demanding
jobs, have families and still come up with a great annual branch
programme. Without your support we wouldn't have a branch here in
the South West, so thank you all, and please keep coming. We're
still maintaining our high levels of attendance, so we must be
getting something right!
We hope that you'll find something to interest you in our
2011-12 programme, it will be updated and published in the near
future - once finalised. We've tried to take into account your
requests from the last AGM. We've also organised the meetings
at various times and venues - but there's a limit to how far we can
go with this as the branch serves a large geographical area.
We've seen quite a few new members in recent years, which is
very encouraging for a professional body, and we continue to grow
as a branch, which is absolutely fantastic and makes it all
worthwhile. I recognise we're all busy people but once again I make
a plea that you tell us in advance if you're planning to
come to the meetings, for three reasons:
- we need to hire a large enough room.
- we need to cater for the right number of people
- speakers like to know how many handouts to bring along.
