Wellbeing
Overview
Wellbeing is a word which is interpreted in very different
ways. It can include social issues, medical problems, mental
health, personal wellbeing or health promotion in the workplace,
where it also incorporates a plethora of associated issues and
approaches. In undertaking an event on this topic we are
looking to cross this broad spectrum and are therefore going to
split this event into broad topic areas:
1) A general overview of how to promote
wellbeing at work and its connected bottom line benefits to the
business.
2) A medically based view of promoting
wellbeing in the workplace.
3) A look at the non-medical elements of
employee engagement and alternative ways of promoting wellbeing at
work.
4) The role of employee engagement and
understanding your personality type so that you can effectively
communicate (as poor communication is one of the biggest causes of
stress, which in turn is the wellbeing topic that most people focus
on).
