Welcome
The IOSH Fire Risk Management Group
has over 2,600 members, and caters for all health and safety
professionals whose job includes, or who have an interest in,
managing risks from fire.
Our main focus is on fire risk management and emergency
response. We host regular networking events for members in the UK
and Ireland, and have developed a certificate course for fire
risk safety. You'll find the latest sector-specific news on these
webpages.
Networking events
Regional quarterly events are planned throughout 2010/11 as part
of our three year Networking events plan. The current year's theme
is 'Safe evacuation for all'.
These events focus upon the diversity of issues relating to
evacuation, such as those with restricted or poor mobility and
those persons who may have sensory disabilities. It also extends to
evacuation strategies for large places of public assembly and
small to medium sized workplaces.
Networking events are open to members and non-members. All
events are advertised in Connect, on our webpages and on
the main IOSH events webpage. If your organisation can help us by
providing a suitable venue, speaker, or by sponsoring an event,
we'd be very happy to hear from you.
The success of the group depends on its membership. The more you
take part, the greater our achievements can be. We value your
feedback and suggestions, so if you have any comments, please
contact us.
