Strategy

We're currently focusing on a number of goals:

• forging links with IOSH branches to boost membership and representation
• providing low cost networking events of interest around the UK and Ireland
• maintaining a watching brief on the developments of competence in fire risk management
• producing guidance notes on key issues
• helping to provide our members with the fire risk management information they need.

We're supported by a wide cross-section of stakeholders in the fire sector, including:

• enforcing authorities - local authorities, the Communities and Local Government Office of the Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser, HSE and Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA)
• local authority fire services
• local authority building control
• the insurance sector
• consultants
• the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
• the Fire Industry Association
• the Institute of Fire Protection Officers (IFPO)
• the Society of Industrial Emergency Services Officers.
