Safety Management Systems - 'Positive or Painful'

The Railway Group
committee are pleased to announce that the fourth Safety Management
System - 'Positive or Painful' themed event was recently run in
Liverpool.
Alsom Transport hosted the day at
their new depot in Picton Road, Wavertree.
The general census of opinion from
those present on the day, established that the day was viewed as a
success by the sell out audience. Overall satisfaction of the
session run identified that the topic content, and networking
session gave attendees opportunities to share best practice, learn
from others mistakes, and perhaps apply alternative approaches in
attempting to gain Senior management commitment and encouraging top
level leadership.
Attending Health and Safety
Professionals represented business from Rolling Stock Suppliers and
Maintainers, Freight Operating Companies, Train Operating Companies
and Infrastructure Maintainers, the mix of attendees allowed for a
excellent networking opportunities; Hot Topics established during
the event were Contractor, and Management Supervision.
The Railway Group committee will be
assessing comments from all four session run to date, to develop a
new theme for 2011.
Thank you to everyone who has
supported the events to date and thank you to Alstom for sponsoring
the most recent session.
Best wishes to you all, hopefully
see you soon at our next event.
