Iain Ferguson
Railway Group Chair
Iain Ferguson, HM Inspector of Railways, has
worked within the UK rail industry for 12 years. Beginning his
career with North West Trains he has worked in a variety of roles.
Prior to joining ORR he worked in consultancy, undertaking projects
in major hazard sectors in addition to high profile railway
projects such as the Mark 1 Rolling Stock Exemption Case.
Within ORR Iain leads on Safety Management
Systems and undertakes a range of policy and inspection roles. He
is also a member of the BSI Standards Committee which developed the
recently published Risk Management Standard.
