Richard Whitehead
Committee Member
Richard is both a Chartered Safety Practitioner and
Chartered Quality Professional. Beginning his career as a City
& Guilds qualified, E.I.T.B. Craft Apprentice prior to
progressing through various Q.A. positions to Machine Shop Manager
and Quality/Safety Manager eventually promoted to his present
position on the Group’s Senior Management Team with
responsibilities for the management and compliance of all Q.S.
& E. systems and Human Resources. Following a restructure in
September 2011, Richard was appointed Group Assurance Director.
As well as being IOSH East Midlands Branch Chair, Richard is a member
of the Railway Group Committee, a member of EEF’s Education &
Skills Strategy Group and on the Regional Advisory Council for the
National Skills Academy for Manufacturing.
