Where do we get the information to help you?
Our research and technical services team has access to a wide
range of electronic databases, books, periodicals and other
resources.
The databases we use are:

What service will I get?
Our office hours are 08:00 to 18:00 GMT, Monday to Friday,
except public holidays (in England and Wales).
You can send us a fax, email, or leave a phone message, 24 hours
a day. We'll let you know we've got your enquiry and get in touch
with you when we've found the information you need, usually within
24 hours.
Where possible, we'll give you information you need by phone,
fax or email, but sometimes we have to post it – so please give us
a postal address when you get in touch.

Free guidance
We publish a two-tier range of free
guidance on a range of health and safety, environment or risk
topics. Our guidance gives brief, focused information, typically
operation or sector-specific, or strategic corporate guidance on
health and safety issues.

Single paper copies are available from the Research and Technical
Services team by calling +44 (0)116 257 3100.
You can copy these documents for internal company or individual
use, as long as you acknowledge IOSH as your source and don't use
them for commercial gain.
Other publications
IOSH members get the monthly magazine, Safety and Health Practitioner, for free. As a
member, you're also entitled to reduced subscription rates on our
international academic journal, Policy and
Practice in Health and Safety.
We publish a range of books aimed at health and safety
