IOSH delegation forges new links in Romania
Malcolm McIntyre, Paul Popescu and Chris
Hayes visited Bucharest in October 09 as part of
IOSH “New Accession Countries” initiative.
Meetings were held with ARSSM (the Romanian Association of
Health and safety professionals), the ministry of Labour, and the
University of Bucharest.
IOSH member and principal occupational safety and
health lecturer at Middlesex University Shaun Lundy was also
part of the trip as it is hoped that further cooperation with
Bucharest University can develop.
IOSH member and trainer Geoff Hornby was also delivering a
course in Bucharest about risk assessment and machinery safety. The
training was supported by the IOSH Research
and Development fund.
