IOSH at Safety in Action Conference, Melbourne, Australia

IOSH President, Nattasha Freeman and Professional Affairs Director, Hazel Harvey attended the Safety in Action Conference in Melbourne Australia from 31 March to 02 April 2009.

Organised by the Safety Institute of Australia (SIA), which celebrates its 60th Anniversary in 2009, the conference was attended by over 600 delegates. Themes covered at the conference included: behaviour and culture, risk management, major incidents, wellness and corporate governance.

Nattasha Freeman and Hazel Harvey met with the SIA CEO, Mr Gary Lawson-Smith, National President, Mr. Barry Silburn and other senior SIA Managers to discuss the revision of the Memorandum of Understanding held between IOSH and the SIA and other areas for future collaboration between the two organisations.
