Barbour information service for members
15 August 2011
A new online information service, exclusive
to IOSH members, will be introduced this month.
The Institution signed an agreement with UBM, it announced
today, that will see its 39,000-plus members receive complimentary
access to packages of information resources and tools.
Barbour EHS, part of UBM plc division UBM Live, will send the
packs directly to their inboxes, with features including directors’
briefings, checklists for enforcement officers and employee
factsheets.
Suitably experienced IOSH members will also get the chance to
develop an additional income stream through contributing content to
Barbour’s ever-expanding library of documents and resources. And
all members will benefit from the collaboration between IOSH and
Barbour EHS that will enable the Institution to further invest in
services for its membership.
IOSH executive director of commercial
Caroline Holden said: “The agreement, I am pleased to say, is now
signed between ourselves and United Business Media (UBM), so it’s
now full steam ahead in terms of implementing the service for
members.
“The service itself will be sent out on a quarterly basis and it’s
going to be themed on different health and safety subject
areas.”
Slips, trips and falls will be the first subject area for the
members’ first package, arriving soon.
