Win IOSH 2011 tickets
17 January 2011
We’re offering Graduate members and members
who pay a concessionary subscription rate the chance to take part
in a draw to win free tickets to the IOSH 2011 conference and
exhibition on 15–16 March 2011, at ExCeL, London. The tickets will
be funded through the bursary scheme.
Ten concessionary rate members and 10 Graduate members will be
picked at random to attend the largest health and safety conference
in the UK, where you’ll get up-to-the-minute information and best
practice case studies – all aimed at helping health and safety
professionals meet their future challenges.
Hazel Harvey, IOSH Executive Director – Membership, said:
“This is an excellent opportunity for members
to find out what’s new in the industry. You’ll be able to choose
from up to 35 conference sessions, benefit from over 15 hours of
learning and debate, participate in over 11 hours of face-to-work
networking as well as enjoy a drink or two at the evening drinks
reception.
“We’re offering the tickets to our
concessionary rate members because they may not be able to afford
to go to the event because of unemployment. We want to help them
get back to work and we think the conference is a great tool to
achieve that goal.
“We also believe the conference gives newly
graduated members a head start, and as they are the future of the
profession, we want to help them progress in their career, as well
as in the IOSH membership structure.
“To make the event more accessible to
members, we only want those who have never been to the IOSH annual
conference to enter.”
To be eligible for the draw, you’ll need to be a member on a
concessionary subscription rate (for example if you’re unemployed)
or a Graduate member (if you have Graduate member status in the
2010/11 financial year), and email us by Friday
28 January 2011 to let us know that you’re interested. The
lucky winners will be announced on 4 February 2011.
If you win, we’d like your help in telling members about the
event. To do this we’d like you to write a 150-word testimonial
about how you’ve benefited from the IOSH 2011 conference and
exhibition. We’d also like to interview you for the IOSH channel on
YouTube and possibly share your experiences through Twitter. Your valuable
contribution will help us with future planning and
promotion.
