Members' comments sought on HSE guidance
15 August 2011
IOSH members now have the opportunity to
comment on the proposed new version of the
HSE's HSG65, part one and part two, with part three available
later this month.
As previously communicated in a members' alert in April,
the revised guidance aims to be more accessible for small
businesses, managers and owners. It's much shorter than the
original and links to the new section of the HSE website, which
provides an 'information hub' on managing health and safety.
The guidance seeks to take a more 'people and outcome-centred'
approach than a 'systems and process-centred' one and is more
closely aligned to the 'Plan, Do, Check, Act' model.
Richard Jones, IOSH Head of Policy and Public
Affairs, said: "We are keen to hear from members on this important
development to one of HSE's most influential publications."
Comments should be submitted no later than Tuesday
6 September.
The document can also be found on our live consultations'
page, at the bottom.
