Free LEV training for members
16 October 2009
We’re pleased to announce an exciting new initiative and
opportunity for IOSH members! We’re rolling out a series of free
training sessions on local exhaust ventilation (LEV) for IOSH
members willing to pass on this training to others.
The materials were produced by HSE, in partnership with the
Health and Safety Laboratory, as part of their work to produce new
LEV guidance for both suppliers and users. They’re keen to share
these materials with trainers and advisers and for IOSH and its
members to play a key role in this important work.
Two of our most experienced CPD trainers, Geoff Hornby and Paul
Ramsden, have already been trained and will be delivering a series
of free 2-day training sessions at the Grange to members early next
year.
Members receiving the training will be asked to deliver free
sessions covering the key messages on LEV selection, use and
maintenance to their local Branches and Groups. IOSH will provide
the training material on a USB pen for all those taking part.
If you’re interested in the free training, and are willing to
brief your colleagues in your Branch and Group, please register
your interest by completing the following short
questionnaire, by 16 November 2009. Please note: places are
limited.
Thank you for your interest and support in this pioneering
initiative.
