Standing Committee vacancy
4 January 2011
We are currently recruiting for a member of
the Research Committee - a key role in helping to create IOSH’s
vision of a world of work that is safe, healthy and
sustainable.
The Research Committee is looking for a chartered member with
experience of evaluating research proposals, commissioning research
projects, or undertaking academic or professional research in
occupational safety and health.
The Committee encourages bids for research or development
funding, reviews submissions, and recommends appropriate financial
awards to the Board of Trustees. It also makes sure that bids are
supportive of IOSH's corporate strategy and that completed projects
promote shared knowledge of findings.
Members need to attend approximately two committee meetings a
year and must also have time to read and prepare documents for each
meeting.
While voluntary, reasonable expenses are paid for the post.
The application closing date is 17 March.
Interviews will be held by the Nominations Committee
on 7 April at The Grange. For those
unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances, a further
provisional date has been agreed for 10 May.
