New IOSH representative for INSHPO
IOSH is delighted to announce that Vincent McNeilly CFIOSH has
been appointed as its new representative on the board of directors
for the International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner
Organisations (INSHPO).
Vince is chief of HSE & Security of Marine and Protective
Coatings Business Unit within AkzoNobel and was appointed IOSH
Research Committee chair in 2003. With a background in chemistry
and over 17 years of working as a health and safety practitioner,
Vince's professional experience includes both low and high hazard
environments.
INSHPO was founded in 2001 through the efforts of the then IOSH
president, Paul Faupel and representatives from the American
Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the Canadian Society of
Safety Engineering (CSSE). The first board of directors was
appointed in 2004 and since then Paul Faupel has successfully
served his term as president and past president of INSHPO.
IOSH chief executive, Rob Strange OBE, said:
“I’d like to express my warmest gratitude to
Paul for his major contribution to the success of INSHPO. He played
an important part in setting it up and has seen it grow
