Notes

Your membership of IOSH is for a minimum of one year. The basic fee of £125 (non-refundable) covers the joining fee plus a year’s membership.

Your membership will be due for renewal one year after we accept your application. Your subscription fee is payable in advance each year. Before your next annual fee is due, we’ll send you a reminder by post and email.

To demonstrate that your skills and expertise are kept up to date, and as a condition of certain membership categories, you may be required to join our Continuing Professional Development programme (CPD).

Data protection policy

We may use your personal information to promote the Institution and market our courses and products.

From time to time, we use third-party agents to perform tasks on our behalf (eg our Annual Conference organiser). Some, but not all, of these agents, and the suppliers they use on IOSH tasks, have agreed to comply with our data protection policy and won’t share your data in any way with another party.Others will have their own data protection policy.  You should always check to see whose data protection policy will apply.

In accordance with section 4 of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the IOSH data protection policy, any personal data you give us will be used in the continuation of your contract with us and so that we can provide you with services. Specifically, the data collected will be used to:

Once you’ve joined us

We’ll automatically enrol you as an Affiliate member. If you don’t have health and safety qualifications and you’re not planning to progress towards Chartered status, you don’t need to do anything else.
